The Itinerary

Eight days, four stops, Coron saved for last.

01

Welcome to the Philippines

Land in Cebu, clear immigration and hit the road south to Oslob, four hours down the coast of Cebu island. Oslob is a slow, sleepy coastal town where the sea does the talking.

Check in, freshen up, go somewhere good for dinner and call it a night. Maybe? Tomorrow starts early.

Highlight of the Day: That first glimpse of the Cebu coast from the car window and the slow realisation that the next eight days are going to be very, very good.

🌙 Overnight: Oslob
02

The 3% Island

Early morning, an optional swim with whale sharks. It’s one of the most debated wildlife experiences in the country, so the full picture is in the FAQs. Not for you? Sleep in and grab a coffee by the water.

Noon ferry across to Siquijor, the Island of Fire, which less than 3% of visitors ever reach. Check in, grab scooters and head straight to Paliton Beach for sunset — white sand, ancient acacia trees and a quiet, warm sea.

Highlight of the Day: Paliton Beach at sunset on your first evening in Siquijor — the 3% destination.

🌙 Overnight: Siquijor
03

Siquijor, Fully

A whole day on scooters with no fixed schedule. Start at Cantabon Cave, a living cave system where you wade through underground streams, squeeze through narrow passages and emerge into cathedral-sized chambers.

Then Cambugahay Falls, turquoise freshwater tiers tumbling through the jungle, and Salagdoong cliff jumping — two platforms, one reasonable and one that makes you reconsider your life choices. Somewhere in the day, the PTT Secret Experience.

Highlight of the Day: Siquijor giving you a cave, a waterfall, a cliff jump and a secret all in one day.

🌙 Overnight: Siquijor
04

The Ocean Puts On a Show

A drive and a ferry take you back to Cebu island, then up the coast to Moalboal, a small, laid-back diving town with a coral-fringed coastline and cold San Miguel. Check in and be in the water by noon.

PTT includes a scuba dive straight through the sardine run — millions of fish moving as one around you, sea turtles cruising past. Certified or not, you’re in: an introductory fun dive needs no certification and no swimming ability, and snorkelling is available too.

Highlight of the Day: Being completely inside a sardine run underwater, the fish parting around you, a sea turtle drifting past.

🌙 Overnight: Moalboal
05

Into the Canyon

Roughly 5 hours+ of jumping, sliding, climbing, wading and swimming through the limestone canyon at Kawasan, with cliff jumps ranging from “manageable” to “absolutely not”. It ends at Kawasan Falls, a three-tiered turquoise waterfall.

Non swimmers are completely covered with life jackets and experienced guides, and nobody is pushed beyond their comfort zone. Evening back in Moalboal for rest, food and the ocean.

Highlight of the Day: That last jump into the turquoise pool at the base of Kawasan Falls, the whole group in the water and the falls thundering above you.

🌙 Overnight: Moalboal
06

Island Hop

Check out of Moalboal and transfer to Cebu Airport, about three hours by road, for the flight to Coron. Coron from the air is your first hint of what’s coming — limestone karsts rising straight out of turquoise water.

Land, transfer to town and check in. Coron town is small, warm and immediately likeable, with a waterfront main street, bangka boats in the harbour and low-key nightlife. Dinner, cold beers by the water and an early night — tomorrow is the big one.

Highlight of the Day: That first view of Coron from the plane.

🌙 Overnight: Coron
07

The Best Day

The best day of every PTT trip it has ever appeared on. A bangka boat takes you through Coron Bay to Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon and Coral Garden for snorkelling among clownfish, parrotfish and sea turtles.

Then a beachside group lunch on a sandbar in the middle of the ocean, and Barracuda Lake after lunch, where the water shifts from warm to scalding within metres. Back in Coron by sunset — nobody wants it to be over.

Highlight of the Day: All of it. Coron’s boat day doesn’t have a highlight. It is the highlight, start to finish.

🌙 Overnight: Coron
08

Home. Or the Beginning of Something Else

Transfer to Coron Airport and fly home with eight days of the Philippines within you.

Frequently Asked

Good news — Indians get visa-free entry into the Philippines for up to 14 days. No advance application, no embassy visit, no paperwork. Just show up with a valid passport with at least 6 months’ validity, a return ticket and proof of accommodation. Immigration is straightforward and the whole process takes minutes. PTT will share a pre-departure checklist with all confirmed travellers so you arrive with everything in order.
This is one of the most important questions to ask before booking any Philippines trip, and most operators don’t answer it properly. The Philippines has one of the most complex microclimate systems in Southeast Asia — typhoon season runs from June to November and getting the timing wrong doesn’t just mean some rain. It means rough seas, closed dive sites, cancelled ferry routes and activities that simply don’t operate. We’ve experienced this firsthand. Early December sits right at the start of the dry season for the Visayas and Palawan — the best possible window for calm seas, clear underwater visibility and every single activity on this itinerary running at full capacity. We didn’t pick December randomly. That research is part of what you’re booking.
Yes. Fully, completely, without compromise. This is one of the most water-heavy itineraries PTT has ever built and it was designed to be accessible for non swimmers from the ground up. Life jackets are provided at every water activity where they’re needed. Every experience has trained guides in the water with you. The only thing a non swimmer misses on this trip is the anxiety of being told they can’t do something. Everything else is entirely theirs.
Honest answer — probably NOT, and we think you deserve the full picture before deciding. The Oslob whale shark experience involves feeding wild sharks daily to keep them in the area for tourists. It is also, by most marine conservation standards, an ethically problematic practice that alters the natural behaviour of wild animals and keeps them anchored to one location through artificial feeding. We’ve kept it on the itinerary as a fully optional add-on because we believe in giving you the choice with full information rather than making it for you. What we won’t do is quietly profit from it without saying any of this out loud. If you opt in, go with open eyes. If you opt out, the sardine run will more than fill the gap.
The Coron boat day involves several hours on a traditional bangka boat across open water. Conditions are generally calm in early December, but the ocean is the ocean and it does what it wants. If you’re prone to seasickness, carry medication with you — Avomine or Dramamine taken the night before and the morning of works well for most people, and calm December seas make this manageable with basic preparation.
No — same answer as every PTT group trip. The itinerary is built around specific timing, specific overnight stays and a group that moves together. Changing one element affects everyone. If you want something fully tailored, we do private custom trips. If you’re on this one — trust the plan completely. The people who always do are always glad they did.
Carry cash — and more of it than you think. The Philippine Peso is the currency and while Cebu has ATMs everywhere, Moalboal, Siquijor and Coron are significantly more cash dependent. Siquijor in particular has very limited ATM access and card payments are not widely accepted outside of hotels. We recommend withdrawing enough Peso in Cebu on Day 1 to cover your meals, scooter fuel, personal snorkelling equipment rental and incidentals across the full trip. As a rough guide, budget around ₹2,000–3,000 equivalent per day in local currency for personal expenses — more if you plan to add optional activities like wreck diving or whale sharks.
Message us on WhatsApp. We’ll send you a booking form and payment link. Your spot is confirmed with a $199 booking amount — the balance is due closer to departure. Spots are limited and go on a first-come, first-served basis.
Because most Philippines itineraries are built around the places everyone already knows. PTT built this one around the places that actually deserve your time — Moalboal over Boracay, Siquijor over another night in El Nido, Coron as the centrepiece rather than an afterthought. The sardine run instead of a feeding-based whale shark encounter that we’d rather be honest about than quietly sell. December specifically because someone did the climate research and knows what typhoon season actually looks like from the inside. A non swimmer-friendly water trip because the ocean shouldn’t have a barrier to entry. And a trip leader who has been across this archipelago and built this itinerary from genuine experience rather than a competitor’s website. The Philippines is extraordinary. This is the version that does it justice.
