The Itinerary

Nine days. Mountains, nomads, hot springs, and memories you won’t stop talking about.

01

Hello, Bishkek

Arrive in Bishkek and immediately begin the journey with a scenic drive deep into Kyrgyzstan’s mountains, all the way to Naryn. Your Central Asian adventure starts the moment you land.

🌙 Overnight: Naryn
02

Into the Wild — Kel Suu Valley

Drive further into the wilderness, reaching the remote Kel Suu region. Settle into camp surrounded by dramatic high-altitude valleys. No signal, no distractions — just the kind of silence you didn’t know you needed.

🌙 Overnight: Camp near Kel Suu
03

The Kel Suu Adventure

Horseback ride to the stunning Kel Suu Lake — one of the most remote and spectacular lakes in Central Asia. Explore its turquoise waters and soaring canyon walls. Optional boat ride on the lake. Drive back to Naryn in the evening.

🌙 Overnight: Naryn
04

Nomadic Life at Son-Kol

Journey to Son-Kol Lake to experience true nomadic life in vast alpine pastures. The high-altitude steppe stretches endlessly in every direction, dotted with yurts and grazing horses. Spend the night under a sky full of stars.

🌙 Overnight: Son-Kol Yurt Camp
05

Golden Eagles & a Grand Feast

Drive towards Issyk-Kul and witness a traditional eagle hunting demonstration — a powerful, centuries-old glimpse into Kyrgyz nomadic heritage. Continue to Bokonbaevo and arrive to a grand feast.

🌙 Overnight: Bokonbaevo
06

Canyons & Gorges

Explore the surreal Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon — a landscape that looks like it belongs on another planet. Then visit the stunning Barskoon and Jety-Oguz gorges. Continue onwards to the charming town of Karakol.

🌙 Overnight: Karakol
07

Into the Mountains — Altyn Arashan

Off-road adventure begins as you transfer by rugged UAZ truck to Altyn Arashan. Relax in natural hot springs, hike through wildflower meadows, and breathe mountain air at its purest. Spend the night in a traditional mountain yurt.

🌙 Overnight: Altyn Arashan Yurt Camp
08

Lakeside Goodbyes

Descend back to Karakol, then take the long scenic drive along the magnificent Issyk-Kul Lake. Finally return to Bishkek for some last-minute exploring and shopping.

🌙 Overnight: Bishkek
09

Until Next Time

Transfer to the airport and fly back home — dusty boots, full hearts, and a brand new obsession with Central Asia. You’ll come back with dad/mom lore for years. Until next time, Kyrgyzstan.

Frequently Asked

Yes — and this question sounds scarier than the reality. Kyrgyzstan is a stable, peaceful country with no active conflict and a long history of welcoming travellers. Locals are warm, genuinely hospitable, and used to curious visitors falling in love with their country. The biggest safety consideration is honestly the terrain, not the people — which is exactly why we travel in a group, with an experienced local guide, in vehicles built for this landscape.
Not at all. Indians can apply for a Kyrgyzstan e-Visa online — it takes about 5–7 working days and costs around $52. PTT provides the Letter of Invitation and sorts the Kel Suu border permits. You share your passport details, we handle the paperwork, you show up.
Fly into Bishkek’s Manas International Airport (FRU). Common routes include Air Astana and FlyArystan, with connections via Almaty. International flights aren’t included in the trip cost — but once you’re at the airport, we’ve got everything from there.
Reasonably fit, not superhuman. If you can walk for 2–3 hours on uneven terrain without wanting to lie down, you’re good. The horse ride to Kel Suu is the most physically involved part, and even that’s accessible for complete beginners.
Warmer than you’d expect, cosier than you’d think, and honestly one of the highlights of the trip. Bathrooms are basic and shared. No network, often no signal — people consistently say it’s their favourite part.
About as good as it gets. Valleys are warm and sunny — 18–25°C during the day, wildflowers everywhere, mountain passes fully open. Nights at high-altitude camps drop to around 5–10°C, so warm layers for the evening are non-negotiable.
Carry USD 200–300 in cash. Bishkek and Karakol have ATMs, but once you’re in the mountains it’s strictly cash-only. Don’t rely on cards beyond the cities.
Yes — with a little flexibility. Kyrgyz cuisine is traditionally very meat-heavy, but vegetarian options are available especially in the cities. Let us know when you book and we’ll make sure you’re looked after.
Bishkek, Naryn and Karakol — perfectly fine. Kel Suu and Altyn Arashan — completely gone. We’d encourage you to see this as the point rather than the problem.
Message us on WhatsApp. We’ll send you a booking form and payment link. Your spot is confirmed with a $300 booking amount — the balance is due closer to departure. Spots are limited to 16 and go on a first-come, first-served basis.
Because this trip was built by someone who’s been to Kyrgyzstan four times and is still not over it. We keep groups small, we’re on the ground with you the whole time, and we care more about you having a real trip than a packaged one. Also, Yash is leading this one 🙂
